please consider a hamster, a bird, or even fish.

We believe that people should adopt shelter or abandoned kittens if at all possible.
If you are donating to the HSUS or PETA societies, you are promoting the idea to get rid of all breeders of pets, such as kittens and puppies, as well as other animals. Their agenda is to rid the country of animal and pet breeders, state by state. HSUS and PETA are NOT your friends. We have what is called Traditional colors, as well as Color Point kittens. (A Color Point is a color pattern that looks like what most people think of when looking at a Siamese cat.) |
My cats are not raised in cages. What is FEL D1? The hypo allergenic qualities
are documented because of the low levers of certain proteins in the cat's saliva, called Fel d-1. What is FEL d1? FEL d-1 is a scientist allergen found in feline saliva. When the cat grooms itself, the allergen dries on the coat leaving dander (Contrary to popular belief, allergic reactions are not caused because of cat’s coat length). Dander particles are so small that air filters can not remove them all from the air. Testing in results for FEL d-1 fur samples by Indoor Biotechnologies, an independent lab in Virginia, in 1999, performed tests on a small sample of Siberians. The tests would indicate that in this particular study, about 50% of the Siberians have less FEL d-1allergen than the standard house hold cat. Note that the females have lower numbers than the males in this particular case study. However, in another study in 2005, the males and females had comparable allergen levels and a good percentage of them still had lower levels of the Fel d-1 allergen than in other breeds. This is one reason that testing for reaction is always a good idea if possible. Some breeders do not guarantee that you will be OK with the this breed and will not sell to families with allergy problems without testing first. Check out the guarantees with your breeder before making the purchase. |
